The Efficient Solutions Program is constantly evolving to help business customers achieve a faster return on their energy efficiency and demand response projects. On March 31, 2025, OSE 5.1 replaces OSE 5.0, and the program’s updated Energy Analysis Component takes effect.

Increased financial support and new features

Version 5.1 of the Efficient Solutions calculation tool (OSE) includes new features to provide businesses and organizations with access to even more financial support. For example, business customers that opt for an ENERGY STAR® certified split system aerothermal heat pump (cold climate or regular) can benefit from increased financial support. What a great way to generate significant savings!

The new OSE was augmented with new features you’ll appreciate. It integrates ENERGY STAR® API to facilitate data input and a new drop-down menu for the hours of operation of an aerothermal heat pump integrated with an air-conditioning system that could maximize the return on your investment.

This external call is posted as part of Ambition 2035, objective 2.2.

The National Research Council of Canada Industrial Research Assistance Program (NRC IRAP) aims to foster and support collaborative industrial research and development (R&D) projects with a high potential for commercialization. This competitive call for proposals is open to Canadian small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and organizations from Eureka member countries who wish to form consortia to perform collaborative projects focused on developing innovative products, processes, or technology-based services with a civilian purpose in any technological and market area.

This call invites proposals related to all technology sectors, with a call focus on circular value creation. As defined on the Eureka website, circular value creation goes beyond recycling and waste management by involving innovative product design, cross-sector partnerships, and new materials and technologies. It emphasizes business models focused on longevity, reuse, and recycling, fostering flexible and resilient value creation systems that enhance sustainable economic growth, competitiveness, and job creation.

Working together, the governments of Canada and the United Kingdom (UK) aim to foster and support collaborative industrial research and development (R&D) projects with a high potential for commercialization and driving business and economic growth.

In January 2024, the governments of Canada and the UK signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation over scientific research and innovation with the aim to further strengthen bilateral cooperation that delivers excellence, and impacts across all fields of research and innovation. This MoU highlights semiconductors as a particular area of focus and fundamental to economic growth, prosperity and security.

This competitive call for proposals is open to organizations from Canada and the UK that wish to form consortia to perform collaborative projects focused on developing innovative products, processes, or technology-based services in semiconductors.

This call for proposals is open to organizations from Canada and Brazil’s State of São Paulo that wish to form consortia to perform collaborative projects focused on developing innovative products, processes, or technology-based services in the sectors of focus identified below.

Sectors of focus

This call for proposals is open to projects in all sectors that are civilian in nature, with emphasis on, but not limited to, the following themes:
